Check your setup before joining.
ConsoleMouse brings PC-hosted controls to a console game. You need both a Windows PC and your own console.
What you need
Windows 11 x64 PC, kept on during play
Your own PS5 or Xbox Series X|S
Legitimate copy of GTA VI, mouse and keyboard
PC and console on the same home network; wired Ethernet recommended
Keep a controller available for setup and special interactions
Final minimum CPU, GPU and memory requirements will be published after testing. PS4, Xbox One, cloud gaming and outside-home play are outside the launch scope.
Home-network checklist
Check that PC and console can communicate on the same home LAN. Guest isolation, VPN routing, separate network segments, mesh or powerline hops can change that path. Wired Ethernet is recommended at both ends, not a guarantee or a measured minimum.
Prevent sleep during play, keep the laptop powered and ventilated, and distinguish a screen going dark from a suspended PC. If a connection is interrupted, investigate one condition at a time. Do not open router ports, disable security or follow an untested pairing recipe to make a local connection appear to work.
Keep your controller
Keep it available for console settings, account setup and interactions that may need a physical controller. The launch offer will disclose verified control coverage.
What a useful compatibility report must show
Look for exact game build, console firmware, backend/profile version, required settings, tested actions and limitations. Walking, aiming, vehicles, menus, disconnect/reconnect and physical-controller fallback need coverage. Tested CPU/GPU/RAM minima and input-to-display measurements are not available here; ping is not an end-to-end latency result.

Is GTA VI compatibility confirmed?
PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are the target consoles. ConsoleMouse is in prelaunch: GTA VI compatibility is not yet verified and requires tests on the released game for each console independently. Results from another game, another console or an official Remote Play listing do not verify it.
Could I use native mouse and keyboard controls instead?
If the released game supports them, yes. Console peripheral support is not the same as game support. No explicit native GTA VI mouse-and-keyboard confirmation was found in the official materials checked on 6 October 2026.
